We serve real British comfort food in the heart of Soho, since 2008. We’ve served well over 1.5 million customers, many of which come back time and time again for exceptional food, friendly service and value for money.

The menu centres around fish & chips, which are cooked to order to ensure a perfect meal every single time. We take particular pride in the fact that all fish served at Golden Union is responsibility sourced from very well managed and sustainable waters. The fish can be traced back to the boat which caught it!

Our fish comes from multiple sources to ensure quality and freshness. So whether it’s from Scottish North Atlantic or Norwegian fjords quality comes first.


The pies and fishcakes are all made on the premises from recipes developed over the years. The Tartare Sauce is our own recipe made in-house as are the mushy peas.

Attention to detail is key, for example, sausages are cooked in their own pan away from the fish, to make it an inclusive environment for all. Also on the menu are plant-based dishes to suit vegetarian, dairy-free and egg-free diets.

Our passion for sustainability goes beyond just the fish, and we’re proud that all the oils we use are recycled and used for bio-fuel and all packaging is recyclable and compostable.
